Prempro Warnings and Precautions

Before using Prempro, warnings and precautions for the medication should be reviewed with your healthcare provider. For example, make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any existing medical conditions you have, such as heart disease, diabetes, or kidney disease. Prempro warnings and precautions also include knowing that the drug may increase your risk of developing breast cancer, gallbladder disease, or dementia.

  • Have an upcoming surgery
  • Smoke cigarettes
  • Are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding.
     
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about any other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
