Women who experience menopausal symptoms or who want to prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis may benefit from using Prempro™ (conjugated estrogens/medroxyprogesterone). This prescription medication is a mixture of natural equine (horse) estrogens and a progestin hormone. It helps relieve menopausal symptoms by replacing the estrogen that the ovaries no longer produce. Possible side effects include headaches, breast pain, and back pain.
