Premphase

When and How to Use This Medication

General considerations for when and how to use Premphase include the following:
 
  • The medication comes in tablet form. It is taken by mouth once a day.
  • It does not matter what time of day you take Premphase, although it is best to take it at the same time each day.
  • You can take Premphase with or without food. If the medication bothers your stomach, try taking it with food.
  • For this drug to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed.
     

Dosing Information

There is only one standard recommended dose of Premphase, regardless of your age or weight. As always, do not adjust this amount unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Side Effects of Premphase

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Premphase. However, not everyone who uses the medication will experience problems. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
