Menostar Patch Information
Menostar® (estradiol patch) is an estrogen medication that comes in the form of a patch that is replaced once a week. It is used to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. This medication works by providing a low dose of estrogen, a hormone that helps keep bones strong.
Menostar should only be used after other nonhormonal osteoporosis medications have been considered. Prior to beginning treatment with this patch, information on Menostar's precautions and warnings should be reviewed with your healthcare provider. This includes knowing the side effects to watch out for, such as joint pain or a milky white vaginal discharge, and how to properly store this product.
