Prometrium Use in Children

Prometrium is not approved for use in children for any use.

Off-Label Prometrium Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Prometrium for something other than the conditions discussed in this article. This is called an "off-label" use. Using the drug to supplement progesterone during pregnancy is a common off-label use of Prometrium (see Prometrium During Pregnancy for more information). It is also used in an off-label fashion as part of infertility treatments.
Sometimes hormones (including progesterone) are used to promote youthfulness. This is not generally accepted as a legitimate off-label Prometrium use.
