Menopause Home > Prempo

Were you looking for information about Prempro? Prempo is a common misspelling of Prempro.

Women who experience menopausal symptoms or who want to prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis may benefit from using Prempro™ (conjugated estrogens/medroxyprogesterone). This prescription medication is a mixture of natural equine (horse) estrogens and a progestin hormone. It helps relieve menopausal symptoms by replacing the estrogen that the ovaries no longer produce. Possible side effects include headaches, breast pain, and back pain.

(Click Prempro for more information on how the drug works, a more complete list of side effects to look out for, and important things to tell your healthcare provider before starting Prempro.)
