Menopause Home > Estraderm Patch Information

Prior to the product being discontinued, Estraderm® (estradiol patch) was used to treat several menopause-related symptoms, to prevent osteoporosis in post-menopausal women, and to replace hormones in younger women. The manufacturer decided to stop making this medicated patch for business reasons, not because it was unsafe.

While the Estraderm patch is no longer available, your healthcare provider has information on possible alternatives. Other brands of estradiol patches may work just as well.

(Click Estraderm if you need more information on this medicated patch, such as possible side effects, if you can buy an equivalent generic version, and more.)
