Menopause Home > Estrace Tablet Information

The tablet form of Estrace® (estradiol) has been proven effective for several conditions, such as:

  • Treating menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness

  • Preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women

  • Replacing hormones in younger women whose ovaries do not produce enough estrogen, or who have had their ovaries removed

  • Reducing the symptoms of certain cancers (in both men and women) that have spread throughout the body.

If you find this medication causes stomach upset, you may want to try taking it with food in order to prevent this. Otherwise, take Estrace tablets exactly as your healthcare provider recommends. You may also want to review safety information, such as possible side effects and conditions that preclude this drug's use.

(Click Estrace for more information on these tablets, including how they work, if a generic version is available, and dosing guidelines.)
