Jinteli is a prescription drug used for treating hot flashes or night sweats caused by menopause. It is also approved for preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Jinteli comes in the form of a tablet and is taken once a day, every day. While most women tolerate the medication well, potential side effects can include headaches, nervousness, and breast pain.
What Is Jinteli?Jinteli™ (norethindrone acetate/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medication. It contains an estrogen and a progestin hormone. The drug is approved for the following uses:
- Treating hot flashes or night sweats due to menopause
- Preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
Are There Side Effects?Just like any medicine, Jinteli can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
