Is There a Generic Estrace Vaginal Cream?

Estrace® Vaginal Cream (estradiol vaginal cream) is a prescription hormone replacement medication used to treat vaginal menopause symptoms (such as vaginal dryness, itching, or burning).

Estrace Vaginal Cream is made by Warner Chilcott. Although the patents for the drug have long expired, there are no generic versions of Estrace Vaginal Cream approved in the United States.

Why Isn't Generic Estrace Vaginal Cream Available?

It's not entirely clear why there are no generic versions of this drug. There are no unexpired patents for this medication. Perhaps it would not be profitable enough for a manufacturer to make a generic version of Estrace Vaginal Cream.

When Will Generic Estrace Vaginal Cream Be Available?

This is difficult to predict. It's possible that there may never be any generic versions of Estrace Vaginal Cream. Generic Estrace Vaginal Cream is not predicted to become available any time soon.
