Delestrogen is an estrogen medication used for treating several conditions. What Is Delestrogen?Delestrogen® (estradiol valerate) is a prescription hormone replacement medication that contains estrogen. It comes in the form of a long-acting injection that is injected into a muscle, usually once a month. It is approved for the following uses:
- Treating menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes, night sweats, or vaginal symptoms
- Replacing hormones in younger women whose ovaries do not produce enough estrogen (or who have had their ovaries removed)
- Reducing the symptoms of advanced prostate cancer.
