Alternatives to Femhrt: An Overview

Femhrt® (norethindrone acetate/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription hormone replacement medication. It is most often used to treat menopause symptoms, although it is also approved for osteoporosis prevention in postmenopausal women. For most women, femhrt works well and does not cause significant side effects. However, as with all medicines, femhrt may not adequately control your symptoms or may cause dangerous or bothersome side effects. Also, for some women, the risks of taking femhrt may outweigh the potential benefits. Fortunately, there are several alternatives to femhrt for menopause treatment, including:
