Additional Information on Evamist

Alternatives to Evamist

Evamist is not the only available method of relieving menopausal symptoms. Other options include:

  • Coping strategies (such as wearing lighter clothes for hot flashes or using a vaginal lubricant for dryness)
  • Other medications, such as other estrogens or combinations of estrogens with progestins
  • Natural remedies, including herbal supplements and "bioidentical" hormone replacement.

(Click Evamist Alternatives for more information about other menopause treatment options.)

What If I Take an Overdose?

People who take too much Evamist may experience the following symptoms:

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Breast tenderness
  • Dizziness
  • Abdominal pain (stomach pain)
  • Drowsiness and fatigue
  • Vaginal bleeding.

(Click Evamist Overdose for more information.)

How Should Evamist Be Stored?

Evamist should be stored at room temperature, away from flame and heat, as it contains alcohol. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.

What If I Miss a Dose of Evamist?

If you do not take your Evamist as scheduled, take it as soon as you remember. If you prefer, you can simply skip your missed dose. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply a double dose.

Available Strengths
