Estrotest

 

Estratest^® (esterified estrogens/methyltestosterone) is a hormone replacement medication approved for treating moderate to severe hot flashes or night sweats. It is a combination drug, containing estrogen and a form of testosterone, that is often prescribed to women who have not responded to estrogen treatment alone. Estratest comes in tablet form and is typically taken once daily. The drug has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as there is insufficient evidence to show that adding a testosterone to estrogen provides any additional benefit for treating menopause symptoms.
