Estratest Use in Children and Teens

Estratest should not be used in children or teens.

 

Off-Label Estratest Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Estratest for something other than menopause. This is called an "off-label" use. At one point, hormone replacement therapy was used off-label for preventing heart disease and dementia (such as Alzheimer's disease), but these are no longer considered legitimate off-label uses. Sometimes hormones are used to promote youthfulness. Again, this is not generally accepted as a legitimate off-label Estratest use.

 

Some healthcare providers recommend Estratest for postmenopausal women who are experiencing a decreased sex drive, since it contains testosterone. This is also an off-label use for this drug.
