Enjuvia Use in Children and Teens
Enjuvia is not approved for any use in children or teens. Talk with your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using Enjuvia in children or teens.
On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Enjuvia for something other than the conditions listed above. This is called an "
off-label" use. Using Enjuvia to prevent
osteoporosis in postmenopausal women is considered an off-label Enjuvia use, as is using Enjuvia to alleviate the symptoms of certain types of cancers.
At one point, Enjuvia was used off-label for
preventing heart disease and
dementia (such as
Alzheimer's disease), but these are no longer considered legitimate off-label uses. Sometimes, hormones are used to promote youthfulness. Again, this is not generally accepted as a legitimate off-label Enjuvia use.
