Delestrogen Side Effects

Nausea, breast tenderness, and headaches are among the commonly reported side effects of Delestrogen and other estrogen medications. In most cases, side effects tend to be minor and are typically easy to treat. However, certain Delestrogen side effects are potentially serious and should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately, including chest pain, vision changes, or any signs of an allergic reaction.

An Introduction to Delestrogen Side Effects

As with any medicine, Delestrogen® (estradiol valerate) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes Delestrogen will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Common Side Effects of Delestrogen

Common side effects of estrogens, such as Delestrogen, include (but are not limited to):
 
  • Vaginal yeast infections
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Headaches
  • Breast tenderness
  • Irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting
  • Abdominal (stomach) cramps or bloating
  • Hair loss
  • High blood sugar (hyperglycemia)
  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Fluid retention
  • Enlargement of benign tumors of the uterus (uterine fibroids).
